Dear Prospective Employer,
Hello, my name is Rebecca Summers. I am committed to my passion of being an elementary school teacher. My growth and accomplishments throughout the education program at West Virginia State University are a testament of my dedication to the profession. I believe that I will be a successful teacher because I am a positive role model for students, believe all students can learn, and am willing to put forth the effort to ensure every student is nurtured, encouraged, and treated equally. I feel I would be a valuable addition to your elementary school because I am passionate about my career as a teacher, have a strong work ethic, and understand the impact my relationship with parents and students has upon student achievement.
While at West Virginia State University, I strived to immerse myself in activities that would further my knowledge in order to become a successful educator. I participated in workshops and volunteered at after school activities to advance my growth in the profession. Education is a gratifying career path. It is rewarding to see a child's growth not only academically but also in their disposition. Continuing to grow in the profession is part of my long-term goals.
I will be graduating from WVSU in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a content specialization in kindergarten through sixth. I will be available for employment January 2015. Please feel free to explore my educational portfolio to learn more about me.
Thank you in advance for this opportunity.
Sincerely,
Rebecca A. Summers
